The ferry stopped on the other side of the river, and Terry thanked the ferry-man. Then he followed the tall man into a room
that was filled with caskets. "It looks quite nice and snuggly in those boxes, to be truthful," said Terry. "The fires
give the room a nice warm light to it. I'd sure like to crawl in there and have myself a cat nap." A man popped his head out of one casket,
and Terry hurried over to him. "Hello," said Terry. "The soul dies with the body," said the man in the casket.
Terry shook his head. "That is not what father Nichols says, and he has an education.
You keep your French ideas to yourself, mister," he said.
